Rice Krispie Bars
Rice Krispie Bars

9 tablespoons butter
30 ounces marshmallows (I usually buy 3 10-ounce bags of large marshmallows)
12 cups crispy rice cereal
Melt butter in a large pot over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Add marshmallows and melt over medium-low heat, stirring fairly regularly to keep the mixture from scorching and sticking to the bottom of the pot.
When the marshmallows have completely melted and blended with the butter, remove the pot from heat and stir in rice cereal. Mix until thoroughly combined.
Pack mixture tightly into a greased 9x13 pan (these are thick bars!).
Cool completely before cutting and serving.
