Basic Smoothie Formula
Basic Smoothie Formula
(I talked about smoothies here)
1 cup of fruit (I usually use a combination of 1/2 cup frozen fruit, 1/2 cup fresh fruit - this keeps my smoothie extra cold)
1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 cup fruit juice
**optional: 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed meal
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and whip it up!
makes 1 smoothie
So many possibilities - here's a few ideas: mango-peach, banana-strawberry, peach-blueberry, banana-pineapple, cantaloupe-raspberry, and, if you're feeling a little decadent, banana-peanut butter is pretty darn good, too!
