Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies


Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375.
Using an electric mixer, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter until creamy.
Beat in vanilla and egg.
Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough, in rounded tablespoons on a greased or lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 10 minutes, until light brown (centers will be soft).
Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
