This is a great meal to make when you have kids around (or adults who are picky eaters), because it's pretty simple and has easily identifiable ingredients. My theory is that half the reason kids like it is related to the name..."Cheeseburger Pie" is kind of fun to say! It tastes pretty good too, and it's my go-to meal when I watch kids for a friend of mine.
