Rich and Decadent...in 30 Minutes or Less

Recipe
Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes, and Cream

Usually, it works out that my most decadent recipes are also my most time-consuming ones. Unconsciously, I've started to cultivate an attitude that the really spectacular, company-worthy recipes must involve a lot of time and detailed steps to truly be the best of the best (for reference, see the insanity that is some of our Birthday Treat Days at work). Then, a recipe come along that reminds me how quick and easy a fabulous dish can be: like this pasta, which has become my new best friend. With over 5oo positive reviews on AllRecipes, I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this. The recipe is wonderfully flavorful and rich, but requires the most minimal of time and effort to throw together. Bow ties are the perfect shape for this dish: the sturdy noodles have little pockets that are simply destined to hold this rich, creamy tomato sauce. This recipe was my first foray into cooking with Italian sausage, and I was thrilled with the results - what flavor! With the cream and sausage, this pasta is a bit on the indulgent side...but that just means that Dariush and I both are all the more excited about it - a meal that tastes like something special in under 30 minutes is a rare occasion in our house.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, everyone! Dariush and I won't be hosting our big day until Friday...I'll try to pop in and get a post up on Friday morning before the festivities start here. I wish all of you a wonderful meal with wonderful family and friends. If, like me, you're wanting to help some families that are less fortunate this year, Second Harvest Heartland is a wonderful hunger-relief organzation that serves the Upper-Midwest area - they're always looking for donations and volunteers. We have so much to be thankful for this year, and we're happy for the opportunity to share what we have with others who really need it.

Last year at this time...Elevator Lady (Molasses) Cookies and Crockpot Beef Carnitas.
